About Herb Shupard
Herb has lived in Delaware since the late 1960s and has been practicing real estate since 1983. Upon graduation from West Chester State University in 1968, he promptly moved to Laurel, Delaware, in 1969 where he accepted a teaching and coaching position at Laurel High School. While there, he helped to coach the football team and was the head coach of the basketball team, which he led to one of the program’s first state playoff berths.
He also owned and operated Herb’s Bait & Tackle in Dewey Beach, which he opened in 1971 on New Orleans Street. In order to be closer to the business that he owned, he moved to Dewey Beach in 1983. After deciding to take advantage of the beach property that now surrounded him, he got his real estate license that same year.
Herb joined the RE/MAX team in 1994. Since then he has become a member of the RE/MAX 100%, Platinum, and Chairman’s clubs for his efforts as a real estate agent. He specializes in resort real estate in the Rehoboth, Dewey, Lewes, Milton and Angola areas, including residential and commercial transactions. Herb has two daughters, Tammy and Amy, and one son, Geoff. He is also a member of the Sussex County and National Associations of Realtors.
